The Order of Myths Opens NYC

THE ORDER OF MYTHS is opening in New York this weekend at the IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue, Go see and support this great film. One of the best things I saw at SXSW this year.
Margaret Brown will be around to do a Q & A on Friday night at the 8.05pm and 10pm screenings. At those two screenings she'll have three of the main characters - Stefannie Lucas, Joseph Roberson, and Brittain Youngblood - doing the Q and As. She'll also be doing Q & As at the Saturday and Sunday night screenings at 6pm and 8.05.
"The documentary that left the strongest impression [from Sundance] big and richly complex as the United States itself." Mahnola Dargis, The New York Times

"Now comes the latest winner, Margaret Brown's penetrating The Order of Myths. Brown explores a potentially enraging subject - rigidly upheld racial segregation in the country's oldest Mardi Gras celebration, in Mobile, Alabama-but her touch is so unforced and her gaze so open that no one is bruised." David Edelstein, New York Magazine
